Our
Artists Directory features a catalogue of artists
selected, recommended and promoted to arts programmers
in schools across BC. To apply, please submit an artists
portfolio as per the Artists Directory Application
Checklist.
Important: ArtStarts
does not organize skills-based art workshops in schools.
We administer grants and facilitate targeted artist’s
residencies in schools that explore arts integration,
contemporary and community-based issues and help youth
view art critically through the lens of a professional,
practicing artist.
Are you a touring performer
or group? To be listed in the directory and
make use of our booking service, you must apply and
be accepted to showcase at
the ArtStarts Showcase. Once you've been accepted,
you are automatically entered in the directory.

Knowledge of the BC school curriculum
is an integral part of successful work as an artist
in the classroom. We recommend that all new artists
get acquainted with the K-12
Curriculum.
Artists listings
include a photo, bio, program description and more.
Listings are organized by name, region, and discipline
so programmers can easily find artists working or
touring in their area.
