The
ArtStarts Showcase is an annual performing and visual
arts showcase with a long track record of attendance
by teachers, school district representatives, and
community programmers from all over the Northwest.
The 2009 Showcase takes place
April 1, 2, 3 at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
Geared to programmers serving
young audiences, the Showcase takes place every spring
at the Roundhouse Community Centre in downtown Vancouver.
For performing artists, the Showcase provides a unique
opportunity to showcase their work for school and
community presenters from all over the Pacific Northwest.
The event includes over 40, 12-minute showcases over
three days.
The selection process: Application
forms are posted mid-summer with an application deadline
at the middle of October. Applications are then reviewed
by a jury and selection committee, and final selections
are announced in early January.
